Case of the Flying Brush

Location: Union City Tennessee, USA
When: around 1961
Witnesses: L.F (teller), R.F. (brother), D.F. (sister)
Names: Abbreviated initials to protect identity

Told to Marshall Dudley by L.F., and confirmed by R.F. and D.F. as true.

L.F. was about 13, D.F. was about 11 and R.F. was about 9 at the time. All are adults now.

On this particular day L.F. had been arguing with D.F. and was quite mad at her. L.F. had just finished brushing her hair and set the brush down on the sink in the bathroom when it rose up, and flew out of the bathroom door and down the hall. When the brush got to the end of the hall it made a turn and went into the kitchen where D.F. was, and flew up to her forehead. D.F. screamed and the brush immediately stopped and dropped to the floor at D.F.'s feet. L.F. and R.F. ran to the kitchen to see the brush on the floor and D.F. screaming. D.F. said it flew right up to her forehead and stopped and dropped to the floor. All three claim they saw the brush flying and that they witnessed this event to me.
