| Why do we need
another Banner Swapping program? |
|
Although
there are a number of banner swapping programs already out there, very few of them are
specifically for Adult Web sites. This prevents efficient advertising of your site for a
number of reasons.
First most of them do NOT allow adult sites. Those few that do, usually do not have
sufficient adult sites to display your banner efficiently, so you may find that you have
earned 50,000 banners, but only had 75 of your banners displayed as one of our new
customers recently realized.
We are the only link exchange that we know of that allows you to rotate banners for your
ad. If you enter multiple banner filenames separated by commas for the banner filename,
they will automatically rotate.

| How it works |
|
When you
join, you provide us with the banner you wish to display and the url to which you want it
linked. The banner has to be 420X60 pixels, and we will append the HL logo to the left
side as shown above so that a 468X60 banner is displayed. We can accept the banner in gif,
jpg or tga format. After adding the logo, we will convert the banner to gif or jpg, and/or
compress the banner to minimize the file size without effecting it's appearance. If your
banner is not exactly 420X60 then we can resize it. Hints, restrictions and specifications on
your banner.
Once you fill in your application, you will be given a section of code to place at the top
of your Adult Web Page. This section of code will identify you so that we can track
impressions, hits, and click-thrus. Once you place the code at the top, and we have your
banner posted, you are ready to receive your free advertising. Do not bury the banner in a
links page with dozens of other banner ads. You will be getting prime positioning of your
banner ad on other systems, so we need you to do the same. If you
do put our banner on a page with lots of other banners you will be
unable to make our minimum CTR and will find that you will not receive
credit for each and every banner you throw.
How much free advertising you receive from Hot Links Exchange is proportional to how much
you give others. Our system will automatically display ads to users on your system, and
give you credit for each ad displayed. It will then display your banner ad to users of
other adult systems. Your ad will be displayed once for every two displays of other ads on
your system. Our system will detect if your ad is scheduled for display to one of your
users, and if so, skip it, so you don't end up getting charged to display your ad on your
system.

| Isn't trading
Links enough? |
|
By the
number of links that other systems place in an ADULT LINKS section, you would think so.
But the sad truth is that exchanging links is surprisingly ineffective. There are several
reasons for this.
Most people who visit a site never make it to the LINKS page, and those that do are
normally confronted with hundreds, or even thousands of possible links to select from. You
will be lucky if you get one click-thru to your site from every thousand visiters to the
site you swapped links with. On the other hand, when your ONE banner ad is displayed at
the top of another site's page, you may see from 5% to 20% click-thrus. Plus if you are
not getting the click-thrus you expect, you will know that your banner ad needs some work.
Another consideration is that you may be swapping links with small sites with very few
visitors. In that case you will receive little if any benefit, but if your site is active,
you may be sending some of your best customers over there. If you use Hot Links Banner
Exchange, then everything is kept fair. Every site gets only as much advertising as they
have earned by giving advertising.

| Maximizing
Banner CTR |
|
CTR
stands for click-thru rate. The number of referrals you can expect to go to your site will
be the number impressions times the CTR. CTR will typically be between 10:1 and 100:1. A
10:1 rate will get you 10 times as many visitors as a 100:1 rate.
Our system uses a unique database processing program to maximize your CTR by
preferentially displaying your banners on systems which give a higher CTR for your banner.

undertand how this process works, and how to make sure your banner gets good results
through good placement.
Since our exchange allows you to quickly and easily swap banners, you can check different
banners for the best click-thru rates. Then you can display the banner that does the best.
Also since research has shown that the click-thru rate will be highest the first time a
banner is seen, and will drop every time the same person sees the banner, you may find
that rotating banners is an effective way to retard this customer burn-out. For very good

| Sponsors |
|
As stated
above, associate members do not pay anything for their advertising. However, they are
limited to how many of their banner ads will be displayed by how many users they have on
their site.
If you want to receive the benefits of having your banner ad displayed to thousands of
users a day, then sponsor membership is just what you need. You purchase a certain number
of impressions, and your ad will be displayed on other Adult Sites around the world that
many times. If you are both an associate member and a sponsor you will have your ads
displayed a total of how many impressions you purchased, plus what you earn by displaying

Stats |

Tracking
your stats is easy. Simply go to http://execonn.com/cgi-bin/hotlinks.pl
and enter your site's name and password. You will give full up to the second statistics
with the following information:
The number of times your ad has been displayed on other systems
The number of click-thru's you have received from other sytems
The percentage and ratio of click-thrus to you to number of impressions
The number of times your site has been visited
The number of times someone has clicked-thru from your site
Total impressions you have earned/purchased

| What is that
about free pics for my site? |
|
If you run
a free site, you may select 10 free pics from our copyrighted gallery to display on your
site. If you want more, you can pick 25 pics, and earn 1 impression for every four you

| How do I join? |
|
Simply go
to our TERMS page and after reading it,
proceed to the joining page where you will fill out the information we need to set you up.
Email or tell us where your banner is so we can pick it up, and insert the code you are
given at the top of one or more of your pages. We will generate the banner link to your
site. You will immediately start earning credits, and your ad will begin getting displayed
as soon as we get it set up here. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions before submiting your
ad.
